Since 2013, PCL Inc. has been successfully operating a large number of laboratories in the Los Angeles area including Santa Monica, Century City and Beverly Hills. Our team is comprised of clinical laboratory scientists, microbiologists and PhD that are well versed in laboratory sciences and molecular diagnostics.
SERVICES
CLINICAL LABORATORY LICENSING
PCL Inc. provides a turnkey solution to clients interested in starting their own laboratory. We offer full service including filing the needed documentation to the California Department of Public Health and the CMS. Upon approval of license, we also support inspections and provide procedures and protocols needed to run the laboratory. Finally, we assist in equipment selection, staffing and day-to-day operation of the laboratory. PCL Inc. can also operate existing laboratories, streamline testing to maximize efficiency and and improve financial performance.
COVID-19 RT-PCR TESTING
PCL Inc. runs state-of-the-art Thermo Fisher QuantStudio 12K platform run in addition to the Kingfisher Flex extraction system. The platform enables the detection of 3 distinct genes of the SARS-CoV-2 RNA enabling very high specificity. The assay received emergency use authorization (EUA) from the FDA early during the onset of the pandemic. It was validated to detect as little as 20 copies of the viral RNA per microliter guaranteeing high sensitivity. The high throughput equipment enables 24 hour turnaround.
IMMUNOASSAY TESTING
Automated analyzer testing provides testing for reproductive hormone panels including Testosterone, free testosterone, SHBG, Estradiol, Progesterone. The analyzer is also able to detect thyroid analytes including T3, T4 and TSH. Full menu is available upon request.
MICROBIOLOGY TESTING
We offer manual microbiology testing including:
- Throat, urine, wound cultures
- Organism identification
- Sensitivity testing
Manual microbiology cultures are used in many medical specialties including OBGYN and Urology.
